Micro-NIKKOR 150mm f / 5.6

This Micro-Nikkor was used with 70 mm films for mircofilming of large-sized originals, such as blueprints and weather charts, which have entries of small letters. It was developed for high resolution over a large picture area. It meets also the requirements in the fields of photoengraving and electrical industry.

The Micro-NIKKOR Family

In a brochure from the mid 1960's Nippon Kogaku offered four high quality Micro-NIKKOR lenses. All four are pictured upon this brochure:

Micro-NIKKOR 5cm F3.5 with Nikon rangefinder mount
Micro-NIKKOR 50mm F3.5 with Nikon F reflex mount (with the M-tube)

COM-NIKKOR 88mm f / 2

Computer Output Microfilm (COM) photography is defined by certain distinct conditions, such as the color, intensity, and contrast of the traced images. These constitute the distinct performance limits of COM-Nikkor lenses. The range of aberration correction is from 400 nm to 650 nm. The contrast between the traces and the screen background is maximized.

High resolution is attained by using a large, high-speed aperture, which also takes care of adequate exposure of the fairly high framing speed of moving traces on the CRT. The COM-Nikkor 88mm F2 covers a field diameter of 36mm with standard magnification of 1/5X.

NIKKOR-Q 260mm F10 (Fax-NIKKOR)

This lens is the first model of Process Nikkor series. I was not able to find this lens by the Industrial Nikkor brochure dated about 1967.

However, I found this lens being published with other lenses at the Industrial Nikkor brochure dated on April 1969. There was the following kinds of Fax Nikkor lenses according to that brochure.

- Fax-NIKKOR 160mm F5.6 (Image area 420 mm circle at F5.6)
- Fax-NIKKOR 210mm F5.6 (Image area 530 mm circle at F5.6)
- Fax-NIKKOR 210mm F7 (Image area 450 mm circle)
- Fax-NIKKOR 300mm F7 (Image area 630 mm circle)
- Fax-NIKKOR 260mm F10 (Image area 724 mm circle)

This lens was called not Process Nikkor but Fax Nikkor. This lens was called Process Nikkor at early 1970's, and the following kind of lenses were sold for the wide angle photo engraving system.

- Process-NIKKOR 180mm F10 (Image area 540 mm circle)
- Process-NIKKOR 210mm F10 (Image area 630 mm circle)
- Process-NIKKOR 240mm F10 (Image area 720 mm circle)
- Process-NIKKOR 260mm F10 (Image area 800 mm circle at F22, 724 mm at F10)

Look at a beautiful purple shined lens of the end of 1960's!

Roof Prism for Apo-NIKKOR 300mm

This was to produce the erect but laterally reversed image in addition with a right-angle prism when using together with an Apo-Nikkor lens. This roof prism came with a wooden box.

Apo-NIKKOR 360mm F9

This Apo-NIKKOR is of the symmetrical type with "Nikon" "Japan" engraving and the focal length in "mm". The serial number is engraved on the side of the lens. This lens came in the wooden case with the waterhouse plates, the base plates and the control certificate.
