I saw the explanation panel that titled abridged record of chronological events of Naomi Uemura. His life, which closed at the age of 43, was too short. Too short. However, his life was full of hope.

Two museums have been established in Japan to exhibit Uemura's achievements and spirit. One is in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, where Uemura lived, and another is in Toyooka-city, Hyogo, his birthplace.

The Nikon F3 Uemura Special was on display in the permanent exhibition corner of the Nikon Museum. The Nikon F3 Uemura Special was made for Uemura's adventure to Antarctica in 1982.
