Encounter with the Lens

I got this APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens a long time ago. It was the summer of 2003. The lens was stored in a special wooden box. A special metal cap was attached to the front and rear of the lens. This lens could not be attached to my Nikon SLR cameras due to the 82mm screw mount.

I believed that one day I would be able to actually use this lens. Until that day came, I took portrait photos. This APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens was the model for portrait photography and the subject.

How to use the APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens

It was an "ornamental lens" for a while. Three years have passed since I got the lens. In 2006, the situation was a big step forward. I custom made the Nikon mount adapter to use the APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens.

Nikon F Mount

I was able to attach the APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens to my Nikon PB-4 bellows using an 82mm⌀ custom adapter. If the lens can be made into a Nikon F mount, it can be mounted on the Nikon Z series high-performance mirrorless camera via Nikon FTZ mount adapter.

Although it was an image taken a long time ago, I would like you to see the image of APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens. I took the following pictures with the Nikon D70 in the fall of 2006. Those were the fresh and splendid images.

The name of this flower is Autumn crocus. The light purple color is beautiful. I was able to shoot the beauty of flowers with APO EL Nikkor 210mm F5.6 lens.
