Message from Dr Klaus Schmitt

Dr. Klaus Schmitt, Germany, who is my friend is a collector of worldwide high-end macro lenses and he is a specialist.
You can know him by web contents on this site, too.
I received the following message concerning Tanaka-san's excellent macro photography work from Klaus-san.

Some months ago on flickr I was browsing through some galleries, when all of a sudden some spectacular high magnification macro shots captured my eye.
Fascinated I browsed through the images on display and I also saw pictures of the equipment used (Macro Nikkor, Printing Nikkors) and I immediately understood, here a true Nikon lens lover is at work.

I sent some comments of my appreciation of his work, and so I got in contact with Tanaka-san who turned out to be a close friend of you, Akiyama-san.
This made me very happy, since we all three love these wonderful and precious high resolution macro lenses!

Now I am happy to see that Tanaka-san has also his site on your world famous "Redbook Site" and I wish him best of success with his fantastic work and many more precious lenses to come, such as the Ultra Micro Nikkor 28mm which will soon find a wonderful place in his Nikon lens collection.

All my best for your work, and your wonderful BLOG
