EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N

I bought this EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N lens over 20 years ago. It was unused and like new beautiful condition, so I decided to buy it. This EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N lens has become very active since I got the Nikon Z camera.

As a reference for all worldwide Nikkor lens collectors, I will show you a complete set of lens in perfect condition.

The lens cap just sits on top of the lens. Early caps did not have the Nikon logo. Later caps have the Nikon logo on them. There are two types of sponge cushions: round and square.

Ikuo Mori

The EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N lens was designed by Mr. Ikuo Mori, an engineer of Nippon Kogaku. Mori-san is famous as a designer of NIKKOR 13mm F5.6 lens. Also, Mori-san designed the EL Nikkor 50mm F2.8N lens by improving the EL Nikkor 50mm F2.8 lens designed by Mr. Zenji Wakimoto.

How to enjoy the EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N

I attached a mount adapter (M42 to Nikon Z) to my Nikon Z camera. And I also attached the M42 helicoid. In this condition, I mounted the EL Nikkor 80mm F5.6N lens. It is possible to take a picture at infinity.
