This lens was released in the final stage of the long history of the EL Nikkor lenses. In the brochure, the letter A was written at the end of the product name to distinguish it from the lenses of the previous era. However there is no A engraving on the lens barrel. Yes, it is EL Nikkor 300mm F5.6A.
