The TV-Nikkor 35mm F0.9 is a lens for an indirect taking a picture of the X-ray fluoroscopy.
This lens is used to take a picture of the image made from X-rays on a fluorescent screen with the film or the camera tube.
Recently, we became possible to improve the brightness of the image of a fluorescent screen by using the amplifier tube called image intensifier.

TV Nikkor TV means television.

A. X-ray television Nikkor 35mm F0.9 (Leica L39 mount)

On the other hand, in order to avoid radiation damage of X-rays, X-rays should be used as weak as possible. X-ray TV Nikkor is a lens for taking images of electron tubes generated by X-rays.
Therefore, it is the most high-speed lens in the Nikkor lens which is on the market. The resolution is also excellent at wide open aperture F0.9.
