MACRO Nikkor Lenses

The MACRO Nikkor is a macro lens specially designed for the Nikon MULTIPHOT system released in 1968. It's Not MICRO Nikkor. They are MACRO Nikkor lenses. Yes, It's Real MACRO Nikkor Lenses.

A left one is red line Nikkor, MACRO Nikkor 12cm F6.3 lens. A center one is yellow line Nikkor, MACRO Nikkor 65mm F4.5 lens. A right small one is blue line Nikkor, MACRO Nikkor 35mm F4.5 lens.

I placed a MICRO Nikkor 55mm F3.5 lens on the white table to compare size with MACRO Nikkor lenses.

Resolving Power of MACRO Nikkor

I was able to obtain information from Nikon regarding the resolving power of the MACRO Nikkor lenses, which I will present here.

The numbers 1 to 7 engraved on the lens barrel indicate the aperture F number. For a 19mm F2.8 lens, 1 on the aperture scale means F2.8, and the resolving power is 654 lines/mm.
