La Saga Nikon par Thierry Ravassod Presentation Session All the expected guests are there. Among those in attendance from Nikon were former Nikon Fellow Tetsuro Goto, Hiromitsu Iwata from the Nikon Museum, and Haruo Sato and Kouichi Ohshita, authors of the Nikkor Thousand and One Nights. The Nikon Kenkyukai special meeting started right on time. First, Nikon Kenkyukai member Michio Akiyama explained today's program.

Tetsuro Goto, Former Nikon Fellow The presentation session began with a talk on "Camera in Space" by former Nikon Fellow Tetsuro Goto. It is a historical story about space development centered around NASA in the United States and the cameras that were used in outer space.
Camera in Space Naturally, the main focus of the talk started with Nikon's first space camera, the Nikon F. It was very interesting to hear about the technical aspects of the F3, a full-fledged space camera developed in collaboration with NASA.
Akihiko Suzuki, Nikon Kenkyukai Tokyo Next, a presentation was given by Akihiko Suzuki, a member of the Nikon Kenkyukai Tokyo. The story of the Nikon F (serial number 6400095) owned by Noboru Hamashima, the sixth president of Nippon Kogaku K.K. (Nikon). Actual Hamashima's Nikon F was introduced in the "Show and Tell" session that followed.
