Since the establishment of the company, Nikon had been producing approximately 40 astronomical telescope models, from small-diameter to large-size models installed in astronomical observatories, and supported the activities of astronomy enthusiasts and advancements in astronomy. Today, Nikon Vision, a group company of Nikon, provides eyepiece lenses for astronomical telescopes whose superior optical performance ensures superior astronomical observation. The astronomical telescope is an essential part of Nikon's history.

This exhibition includes valuable materials such as the 3-inch Telescope, the first astronomical telescope released by Nikon (Nippon Kogaku at that time) in 1920, ten astronomical telescope models with diameters smaller than 10 cm, objective lenses for the 8-inch Equatorial Refractor, delivered in 1931 to the National Museum of Nature and Science (Tokyo Science Museum at that time), which introduced the attraction of space to more than 5 million people for over 70 years, and pre-war era product brochures.
Astronomical photographs taken by current and former Nikon group employees are also presented.
