Ryu Koakimoto discovered the relationship between Marilyn Monroe and Nikon through historical documents. Nikon realized the importance of this and eight years later officially used Monroe's photo in Nikon 100th anniversary advertisement.

Nobuji Hatsushiba, A RESEARCH OF THE HERMES

Nobuji Hatsushiba, a specialist of the HERMES lens, talked about the HERMES lens history and technical features by title of "A RESEARCH OF THE HERMES". It was known that 11 HERMES lenses existed so far. However, it turned out that Nikon Corporation owned two HERMES lenses at this meeting!! The 13 HERMES lenses are living all over the world now!!

Ten years after this meeting, the Hermes 5.5cm F3.5 Nr. 957 owned by Nikon was exhibited. This photo was taken in October 2020 at the Nikon Museum special exhibition Collection 2.
