Introduction

I would like to talk to you about the EL Nikkor 50mm F4 lens. If you were a darkroom user in the 1970s, you are familiar with this entry-level photo enlarger lens. I was developing black-and-white film and printing photos. I used my EL Nikkor 50mm F4 lens for photo enlargement.

I mounted the EL Nikkor 50mm F4 lens on my Nikon SLR cameras, but I could not shoot at infinity. Only close-up photography was possible.

And a long time has passed. I got my Nikon Z 6. The Nikon Z camera made it possible to shoot at infinity with EL Nikkor 50mm F4 lens.
