Special Exhibition "Nikon Museum Special Collection"
Dates : April 2, 2019 (Tue) - June 29, 2019 (Sat) Nikon Museum houses approximately 40,000 materials spanning Nikon's 100-year history. This special exhibition comprises approximately 30 items that include products released between the 1930's and 1990's. This is a very rare exhibition that illustrates heretofore unknown aspects of Nikon's history through materials from a wide range of categories such as cameras, measuring instruments and industrial equipment. In addition, the movie "EYES OF SCIENCE", produced by Nikon (then Nippon Kogaku) in 1966, will be continuously played on a special screen. Major exhibits Anemometric theodolite (1930), Fisheye Nikkor 16.5mm F8 (1941), Nikon S Black (1951), Television Projection Devices (1955), Nikon 50mm Astrocamera (1971), Nikon F50 Gold (1997), etc.

on 2rd April of the opening date of the special exhibition.

The Complete Nikon Rangefinder System Nikon S Black This model was painted black at the request of Life magazine, in order to prevent it being identified in battlefields. The height of the film advance knob was increased and the film rewind knob made easier to extract and roted, so that the camera was easy to use even when wearing gloves.

![]() 3m Telephoto Lens Periscope Camera 1935 3m Telephoto Lens Periscope Camera A periscope telephoto camera with a 3000 mm focal length lens. A reflection mirror (upper area) and a prism (bottom area) in the lens barrel were used to bend the optical axis, and the lens elements were housed in the lens barrel between the mirror and prism. Images were printed on cabinet-sized dry plates (the tripod is a replica).
