Nikon Kenkyukai Tokyo Meeting A History of Japanese Camera Technology The History of Science Society Japan The History of Science Society Japan is a academic society that researches the history of the science established in 1941. The 54th convention was held in Kyoto Sangyo University on May 27, 2007. Mr. Ryosuke Mori lectured at the convention. The title of his lecture was "A History of Japanese Camera Technology - Reference to High Class 35mm Precision Cameras Development, from Prewar to Wartime". Because Michio Akiyama had been interested in his study, Akiyama invited him to the Nikon Kekyukai Tokyo meeting.

The Phantom Prototype Camera KWANON
Mr. Goro Yoshida and His Dream KWANON
A hot discussion continued though the lecture ended The Phantom Prototype Camera KWANON This is a mock-up model of the prototype camera phantom KWANON which was planned and produced by Mori. This mock-up model was made by a Buddha statue sculptor in Kyoto, Japan.
"The best submarine is the Igo. This was the famous copy of an advertisement about "KWANON," that appeared in the June l934 issue of the Asahi Camera magazine in Japan. The KWANON camera and KASYAPA lens were Mr. Goro Yoshida's big dream.
