The theme of the meeting was the special research of Nikkor 5cm F2 collapsible and hybrid lens for the rangefinder Nikon. Several members brought their chrome beautiful lenses. The lenses of 708 series, 806 series and 811 series were on the table.

And then, second theme of the meeting was the Medical Nikkor 200mm F5.6 outfit. The meeting was held in Shintomi-cho in Tokyo near Ginza.

Neko-san showed us very rare items which made by Mansyu Kogaku in WWII era. Nobuji Hatsushiba-san brought Nikon X-ray camera outfit for the Tokyo meeting. Yes, Regno Nikkor 10.5cm F1.5 and 6X6 camera are stored in hard wooden box. Please look at Nikon FE2 which Nikkor 7.5cm F2.8 Bronica lens mounted.

Tochigi Nikon 300mm T2.2 and Nikkor 300mm F2.0

Yes, we met the Tochigi Nikon 300mm T2.2 and Nikkor 300mm F2.0 very fast telephoto lens. A white lens is a lens for the digital cinematography which Tochigi Nikon engineered. Tochigi Nikon 300mm T2.2 has features a long 300mm focal length, a very fast T2.2 (F2.0) aperture and a 13ft MOD (minimum object distance). The lens accepts two 52mm internal filters. Basically, Tochigi Nikon offers the lens in a choice of PL or B4 mount for the professional cinematography.

The amateur astronomer in Japan knew a wonderful astronomical photo was taken with this super lens. Tochigi Nikon offered 20 lenses with Nikon F mount for an amateur astronomer in February 2003. Tochigi Nikon sold this lens again in the autumn of 2004. We met two excellent lenses at the Tokyo meeting.

A Medical Nikkor 200mm F5.6 Deep Story

Akihiko Suzuki-san reported on the deep research of Medical Nikkor 200mm F5.6 lenses. He put the model PF Copy Outfit on the table of meeting room and set the Nikon power-supply units. Three medical Nikkor lenses were mounted to the Nikon F early model. He explained the excellent performance of this lens to us. We took a picture happily with the Medical Nikkor 200mm F5.6 outfit.

Nikon S2 SPECIAL for the Antarctic Expedition

A member showed us two unusual Nikon S2 cameras. One was a Nikon S2 camera to which a red character named SAMPLE was engraved. The other one was Nikon S2 SPECIAL for the Antarctic expedition team of Japan. Only the speeds up to 500 are engraved to the shutter dial of the S2. In addition, the camera was remodeled for the cold-proof. I put on a special Nikon S2 camera on the book named "25 years History of the Antarctic Expedition".

Super Tokyo Meeting of Kenkyukai

Yuki Kawai-san who returned home from the U.S. joined the Tokyo meeting. He distributed photo which Robert Rotoloni-san had taken to us. Robert Rotoloni-san offered research photo for the Nikon Kenkyukai Tokyo meeting. His research photo were great. It was a photo of the 5cm F1.8 No.8024 prototype dream lens !! Thank you very much Rotoloni-san. Your seat is always reserved !! 13 members were satisfied with a nice meeting on Saturday.
