Dr. Kazumasa Oguri, Oguri-san is a scientist in Japan. He is researching geophysics. To know the earth, he is examining the mud which piled up in the bottom in the deep sea. He was looking for an efficient macro lens to take a picture of mud in bottom of the deep sea.

He examined the macro lens of each company, and obtained the result in which the lens is good for the his research. He found a finally ultimate macro lens.

The name is Ultra Micro Nikkor 28mm F1.7e. Yes, it is lenses produced 30 years ago. However, he searched out Ultra Micro Nikkor 28mm F1.7e all over the world. He finally found Ultra Micro Nikkor 28mm F1.7e, and he obtained it. It was a great story for him.
