S Nikkor 8.5cm F1.5 Special

As you know, Nikon Corporation announced the release of the reproduction Nikon SP LIMITED EDITION with 35mm F1.8 lens on January 14th, 2005. Only 2,500 units were made and only available in Japan. Nikon began sales of the Nikon SP LIMITED EDITION on March 18th, 2005. The Tokyo meeting was held at next day. Of course, the member already had the new Nikon SP LE!!

The main theme of the meeting was the special research of Nikkor 8.5cm F1.5 for the rangefinder Nikon. Several members brought their beautiful lenses and cameras. And then, second theme of the meeting was the Nikon S motor show. Also, the rare pistol camera with Cine-Nikkor and Mikron were walking on the table.

The meeting was held in Haccho-bori in Tokyo near Ginza. We enjoyed meeting in the Japanese spring air of the brilliant light.

Filter Collection

I will show you a rare Nikon 58mm filter made exclusively for the Nikkor 8.5cm F1.5. The number of Nikkor 8.5cm F1.5 lenses manufactured is small. Even less for the Leica L39 screw mount Nikkor 8.5cm F1.5. I was surprised that a special filter was made for such a small number of lenses.

Small Accessories

We researched the Type P Copy Stand for Nikon S series. An attachment lens and a conversion rig are stored in nice leather case. When you use Nikkor 50mm F2.0 lens, you should attach the attachment lens on it. If you use Nikkor 50mm F1.4 lens, you should attach the attachment lens on it by using conversion ring.

A pistol camera DORYU 2-16 with Cine-Nikkor

The following research is a 16mm camera like a joke. This camera is a serious camera for the police, and not a toy. It is a pistol camera DORYU 2-16 famous as rare and valuable camera. The DORYU 2-16 has the same C mount as the 16mm movie camera. A Cine-Nikkor 25mm F1.4 lens was able to be mounted in the DORYU 2-16 pistol camera. A sniper who has the pistol is Ryu Koakimoto-san.

GOLDECK 16 is another famous still camera to which a C-mount lens can be attached. You can try mounting Cine-Nikkor lens on the GOLDECK 16 and have fun playing with it.
